Recent Results in the ADIOS project

The ADIOS project is aiming to make distributed observation networks more intelligent in dealing with communication constraints by developing algorithms, which can locally and real-time determine relevant information to communicate and/or relevant processing of information.

We have recently developed a local policy, which can determine the relevance/reward of incoming data given the incoming request and the communication costs in the network (bandwidth and latency).

Keywords: Intelligent sensor networks, relevant communication, adaptivity, information needs, adaptive distributed intelligent observation systems.
